Kubota Actions - 02-18-2008, 05:25 AM

Any of you guys used Kubota's actions? I have seen a lot of folks use his "magic sharp" action and the photos look crisper than a pair of jeans during Angleton's prom night. Or is there another sharpening tool you folks use?

Dan

I don't have any words of help, but I had to say that gave me a laugh too!

I have all the sets and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I need to use more of them, especially the sloppy borders.

I've seen a lot of other action sets demoed. After using Kevin's, I know how to recognize a good quality set. Kevin's are better programmed than any others I've seen.

Lots of people (even me!) can write an action. Many can make shortcuts of their own work. Few realize what it takes to make a commercial-worthy product. Kevin does.

Kubota as a starting point - 02-18-2008, 05:50 PM

As a follow up to Lori's post...I purchased them and found them very useful, however the bigger benefit I found from them is in looking at how they were constructed so that I could build up a set of my own. Now whenever I see something interesting online or in Photoshop User magazine for example that I think would be a good technique to use I try to make an action for it and over time build up a library of my own.
