Noise Reduction Software - 02-19-2008, 02:42 PM

I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on noise reduction software. I've done some research and Noise Ninja seems to be the preferred choice amongst many pros.
However, having never used this type of software, I'm looking for opinions from people who've actually used Ninja.....or equivalent.
The majority of my images are taken with a Canon 5D, which has low noise anyway....especially at higher ISOs. But some of my recent portraits have evidenced slight noise in the face, which is not desirable. Hence, I'm in the market for software that will help out......

noise ninja. highly recommended. this program is very intuitive to learn. what i like most is the control panel that allows you to move quickly from one channel to the next. you can download a trial version here

Noise Ninja and Neat Image are the 2 I'd look closely at... Having said this, I have been using Noise Ninja the most when necessary.

Noise Ninja here with PS plug-in. Works like a charm.

Noiseware Professional is my noise program of choice. You can get it stand alone or integrated with PS. You can find it HERE

if I were using one of the others I'd probably be suggesting one of those. Not a lot of difference in my opinion.

I'll throw in my vote for Neat Image. Been using it for years. Free lifetime upgrades also.
