Could you explain this? - 02-22-2008, 04:08 PM

I chose this forum (PPC) for this question because I don't know where else to post this que.
I use Nikon view 6.. to load and view my pictures and Adobe 5.0 to crop.
There is a large variation in brightness and color between the two programs and I am not sure why. Any ideas?
OP. sys. win xp,sp 2
camera. Nikon D200 set to RGB
monitor is not calibrated. (no idea how to do that)
Thank you

I don't have any specific experience with those programs, but I do know that Adobe Camera Raw and adobe Bridge will "Automatically" apply an "auto" exposure to all raw photos that you view with it. It was difficult for me to get it to turn off.

My guess is that there is a setting in the second program, that is doing an "auto" correct on your photo and you will probably have to look deep in the preferences to find how to turn it off, unless you like what it does for them

Nevermind -- I'll take care of it myself!
