How do they do this???? - 02-22-2008, 06:51 PM

Ok I don't read Russian. So all I can do is look at the pretty pictures. This photographer really pulls me into his work. What I can't figure out is how they did the rose photo
http://www.photo-is.com/gallery.php?gallery=9 and the lemon http://www.photo-is.com/gallery.php?gallery=4&focus=8. Any ideas?

the first one with the rose is more than likely upside down.

it looks as if the rose was "dunked" into a large bowl or tank of water, then simply inverted to make it look different.

Im not sur eon the lemon shot, but there are some cool shots on that site

Its all about the sparleling water - 03-12-2008, 04:53 PM

I did some of these in college, and will post in the near future.

As suggested: These were shot using sparkling water - the the picture inverted and the lighting was side/backlit

The waterdrops appear to be correct? And the lemon looks like it's rolling across the water.

Wait a minute.. that's not water... it's AIR! How cool is that?

Put a rose in a glass pitcher, weight it down so it doesn't float, pour in some sparkling water. Looks like then maybe he did some PS to add the water below.

these are pretty neat looking...

the lemon pic.. almost looks likt they had the plate/bowl tilted and then just at the right time tilted the bowl the other way to have the water slosh against the lemon and side!!!

make sense?
