Any FocalBlade Users?

Are there any FocalBlade users out there? I use Paint Shop Pro XI and am looking at ways to improve my sharpening. Specifically I don't like the way a USM enhances noise in flat areas. FocalBlade seems to address this well be separating edge sharpening from surface sharpening. Is it better to just use a layer and mask out the areas you don't want sharpened?

I've used Focal Blade for several years and swear by it. It does a remarkably good job of shapening without bringing in strange artifacts. There are a lot of sliders and I spent a bit of time experimenting at the beginning. Now I use the same basic settings with a little tweaking for each picture. I've never done batch processing with it because I like to look at each picture individually. I love it!

I have the focal blade 1.02b and like it very much, I used it for final out put sharpening before printing.
