One thing to remember is that when watermarking, some images require darker watermarks than others. This means they need to stay editable for each image if desired.
It isn't that hard to make a 100% coverage watermark that is dark enough to dissuade a would-be thief, but is the client going to have a tough time seeing the pictures clearly enough to make the choices needed (I assume that Rob is making proofs for online viewing).
Just some thoughts to consider.
