Watermark Request - 04-01-2008, 02:21 PM

Would someone be interested in making me a watermark for" Holden Photography" that I can use on 4x6, 8x10 and various other print sizes?

I do not know much about making them.

I thought maybe somethikng using a gold font, or would that be too much?

I would love to give it a try. I didn't know you were looking to hire someone for it.

PM me if interested in my rates.

It would take a couple days after we settle on a fee.

I'll make one for half what Patrick accepts. And, I will do it in half the time. Mine will be twice as good. No one will ever copy any of your images with my mark on it. I guarantee it.

One thing to remember is that when watermarking, some images require darker watermarks than others. This means they need to stay editable for each image if desired.

It isn't that hard to make a 100% coverage watermark that is dark enough to dissuade a would-be thief, but is the client going to have a tough time seeing the pictures clearly enough to make the choices needed (I assume that Rob is making proofs for online viewing).

Just some thoughts to consider.

Pat there is always the transperent watermarks with the bevel and embose and you can use those for any image. The trick here is to create a logo for the watermark simple but effective.
Robin let me give it a try and if you like it we can talk about the price ok.

No problem.

I was talking to Pat and what I am really looking for is to place my sig "Holden Photography" in the lower right corner of all photos. One that will work with light and dark photos if possible. And that with be proefssional and print with the best quality.

I just do not want to issue a CD/DVD with all my photos and no watermark/sig

Am I wrong with this line of thought?

I found an action that adds a watermark for both portrait and landscape images.
