Aperture 2.1 users! ...file output size... - 04-01-2008, 03:22 PM

I recently boosted my JPG file export setting to 12 from the default of 10, and the jpg file output size from my MkIII CR2 files is now running from 8 to 18 megs!
One file even went to 21.3MB. I believe in getting the highest quality jpg output possible, but this is ridiculous! That particular CR2 file was 17.7megs.
I moved the slider back to 10 and reprocessed it, and the output was 8.3MB this time, and all of the adjustments were unchanged. Moving it to 11 created a 8.6. Back to 12 and the size was back to 21.3MB!!! (Lightroom produced a file output of 17.5MB on this same image.)

Has anyone else noticed this kind of file size range behavior with Aperture?
