Lightroom - White box around logo - 04-10-2008, 11:43 AM

Is there any way to remove the white box around you logo? I made the logo in photoshop where the background was clear. but saved it as a JPG which made the background white. (The logo its self is oval) So when I put the logo on a picture in lightroom it has the white box background. Is there a way to make the background transparent in Lightroom or am I going to have to take each picture into photoshop and cut the background out?

Yep...save the logo in Photoshop as a PNG file. That will preserve the transparency for you. Good luck.

Thanks! I will try it! You just saved me hours of tinkering around with it. Never heard of a PNG file.

Yeah, I never had much use for them myself. I know, though, it's the best way to preserve transparency in an image. Also, have you looked at http://www.lightroomkillertips.com? Great resource. Enjoy!
