LucisArt to be discontinued - 04-12-2008, 01:47 PM

This is just a heads up for anyone interested in LucisArt. A new version is in development and the current version will no longer be available after May 8th. The new version, called LucisArt Pro will contain some more advanced features and capabilities but it'll also carry a hefty price tag - $595 to be exact.

If you've been considering purchasing the plugin, I'd recommend doing so before the price increase. More information can be found on the LucisArt website. I've got info on my site as well, along with tutorials and samples.

This is one of my favorite plug-ins. In fact, the only plug-in I use other than Noiseware and Portraiture. I hate to see it go. But at the same time, it's been overused a lot. So it may not be a bad time for it to go.

Glad to see you posting again Andy.

Jordan

I use Lucis myself. I'd be interested if you have some particular workflows you've developed or if you take one picture at a time and just play with the settings until you see the effect you are looking for.

The pro version is just so dang expensive, this will be one of the most expensive new plugins when the new version is out. I have the 169.00 version and love to use it now and then, but you can buy CS3 almost for the same price as the new Pro yikes!!!

Yep, at that price I would hope Lucis himself comes over and washes your dirty dishes every night then walks your dog.
