Cool Photoshop 6.0 and newer - 04-18-2008, 08:50 AM

OK, I've heard that Photoshop will stich multiple frames together. I have Photoshop 6.0 and a friend has 7.0 (I think) or newer. Whaere is the "glue a bunch of pictures together" command?

Help! Please! Thanks!

I dont know if it's available in 6 or 7. I know you definitely can in cs2 and cs3. I have cs2 and if you go to File > Automate > Photomerge it will walk you through it. cs3 actually has the easiest way to do it. Good luck.

Wayne,

PS 6.0 I think you need an upgrade, you are missing lots of good stuff. CS3 has the easiest way to do it and the it does an excellent job even with hand held panorama shots.

You are correct. It was new to CS.

If your version does not have Photomerge, and you don't want to go out and buy a new PS version right away, you can always do it the old fashioned way - manually! Just create a blank new image large enough to hold all of the images you want to stitch. Then drag all of your images into the blank image. To properly line them up work on two images at a time, making one of them semi transparent so that you can see through it. It's actually kind of fun to do it that way.

Thanks everyone!

Other ways: There's the free copy of Autostich. I have that. Photomatix is highly regarded. I may spring for that. I also have a copy of something that came with Lisa's Nikon digi P&S a long time ago. It works ok as well.
