It's not as good as having the hardware, but try this. Make sure it's kinda dark in the room when you do it.

Does this thing, kinda do it itself???

ive a brain-disiese that makes those books "for-dummies" hard to understand
when i read software instructions my eyes rollback into my head,
and my brain starts to boil over, and i start drooling all over the keyboard ,,
causing a short and usauly end up with the little keys all over the room in an attempt to stop the frustration overload,,,,,,

im the apitamy of the K.I.S.S. quote,

I have used calibration device before but it required redo it like every week or so, so one time calibration may not cut it. I've found that calibration software which used to come with Photoshop up to CS2 version was a very good tool. Too bad they stripped it from CS3.
