Two cardinal sins. 1) Have to click on ENTER. 2) Clicking on ENTER initiates a pop-up window.

I run a pop-up blocker for a reason. Two strikes is enough to keep me from looking at the site

Hey, that's pretty cool. I love before and afters.
Janet, you have to slide the slider to the left to see the original out of camera shot.
You can slide it back and forth to go between before/after.

To bad you can't advance from one of his works to the other - painful to navigate his sight - someone should tell him

i gotcha...it is good retouching - although its not as impressive as the web site warrants..don't get me wrong, but some of it is just simple skin smoothing and lightening eyes and stuff.. oh - and mostly good lighting to begin with (can't speak for the subjects sometimes, but i guess thats what the client wanted).

Just click the arrow to the right of the pic?

There's arrows, a sign appears to tell you to slide the slider, and if you click on the image it enlarges it to full size. Click again and it goes back to the smaller size. That's not too hard to figure out.

The navigation wasn't too bad... but I have to admit that I was trying to figure out what the guys site had to do with retouching when I first got there... THEN I found the slider at the bottom.

The little instructional boxes that popped up went away too quick for me to know what they said.

Website c/c out of the way...

Good editing and adjustments without them being noticed. I like'em.

I like the site and I like retouching work No2. I also had a problem to figure out the slider at first.

I see some good studio lighting and use of composition. The compositing in photoshop is good, but been around.

interesting comments.

i may be impressed more because i know a bit of the back story.

this isn't "simple skin smoothing." in the part of the retouching industry (he isn't a photographer) that deals strictly with fashion, tarantino is reputed to be one of the best in the world. i was told he will spend days on one cheek. rumor has it that he is the only retoucher allowed access to any photographs of katherine zeta-jones.

i'm also terrified of wholesale skin retouching because a.) i don't know how to do it, and b.) a lot of what i see on the internet is not very good.

i may buy his book. if i do, i'll post a review.

i just got an email from him and he told me niether of his books goes beyond what he calls "consumer level" retouching. he recommended something else and if that proves fruitful i'll post.
