and what are they called? I've been seeing them on mailers, on websites, on cards....They are more like a decoration than anything. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

look up brushes for PS... You'll find all kinds of scrolly rolly ones >:o)

NOt sure if I know exactly what you're talking about, but if you mess with the twist, skew, arc, perspective and etc controls on your text layer you can come up with all kinds of funky text graphics...They add Layer Styles to them like gradient overlays, stroke, bevel and emboss, drop shadows and etc...

Thanks all! I like what the brushes have to offer better than the text. I had been searching in graphic art, never thought it would be a brush!

I was looking for the same thing, about 10 minutes on google and I was all set.

CS3 brushes, Photoshop brushes, brushes, etc.
