Did you shoot RAW? If so... You "MAY" be able to get some back. Basically, expose the image a couple of different ways... place them as separate layers in PS... Then use layer masks to erase/blend the multiple layers.

To my eye, that image looks like it is blown (skies) beyond complete repair (unless this image has been brought up in post already).

This is also a situation where direct flash used as fill can be of great help. But that's here nor there regarding this particular image...

Thanks Andrew - I ran outside really quick to get some fan pixs and forgot my flash. I don't even think I used the pop-up flash either
This is not a have-to-have shot, I'm just looking for some general direction to help fix it.

I think it works with regard to what you were trying to capture. Sometimes a blow out sky is a necessary evil. Much better than dark silhouettes that you can often get when running and gunning in those conditions.

Good stuff.. I shot out there a couple of weeks back for a band that played the plaza stage. Took a few images from the suite later...Too bad it was the game we lost (Game 3) of the Anaheim series.

When a sky is that blown out it sometimes becomes necessary to basically replace the sky. I keep many different images of interesting clouds and sky and use a layer mask plus selection and the blend if sliders to change out the sky.

Sorry Matt, I've been busy this morning.

It was quick fix, about 3 minutes worth.
I used CS3.
Selected the sky.
Opened a Selective Color Layer.
Selected Absolute
Adjusted the Whites properties to taste.
Flattened the layers.
Painted in a couple of clouds.

That's it.
