Wayne:

I read your previous posts about the Moab paper. Camera Co-Op (on Durham St) in Houston stocks it. I bought a box of the Entrada Rag Natural 300. Boy is it thick. I print with a little Epson R300 and I really had to mess around to get it to feed the paper. However, I really like the results. I'm not much on glossy paper, some of the semigloss or luster is OK for some photos but I tend to favor the matte finish.

After reading more on the Moab paper I found that they make the same paper in a 190 weight and it is somwhat thinner. It might work better in your HP printer.

Cool I'm having fun! - 05-28-2008, 02:53 PM

Thanks Don! Wes Clavey, friend & shooting partner & TPF member, gave me my first box of entrada natural 300 after he found out that it wouldn't feed around the bend in his HP printers. He then bought a box of of the entrada 190. The last I heard it wouldn't feed through his HP printers either.

I'll work through the Red River Paper samples in both printers and try to make a decision. Right now I'm still leaning toward the Moab entrada natural 300 in the Epson for those times when I want/need the best print I know how to make.

However, I may put off anymore inkjet printing in favor of getting the real darkroom up and running. For those times "when I care enough to print the very best."
