Noise Reduction, RAW, and ACR - 05-10-2008, 12:55 AM

I had to shoot a high school baseball game tonight in a very dark stadium, necessitating using ISO 6400. As you can imagine, I had some noise in many of the underexposed shots. I shot in RAW, and use CS3 to process.

Question: what is the best way for for me to reduce noise? Should I use the noise reduction feature in ACR, or should I process everything except noise, then run the resulting JPGs through Noise Ninja?

I leave ACR's NR alone. Come out of ACR to photoshop file and NN it. Then do every thing you want WB, etc. and only at the very end convert to JPG's. You want all the heard room you can get when doing the NN reduction.
