Copying & Flipping Hair - 05-21-2008, 08:30 AM

I took a picture of a friend and she loves it except her hair on one side is blown out from the sun. She has one of those flipped out short haircuts, so I think I can copy the other side of her hair, flip it and put it on the blown out side. Problem is, I cannot figure out how to do that. Can anybody explain how to do this? Unfortunately, I am at work and don't have the pic available to post here. But just a general explanation would be fantastic.

what you do is copy it to a new layer and the choose free transform (command T on a mac or control T on PC) and hold down shift and flip it to the other side. or go to edit>transform>flip horizontal that should do it.
