How do you get this effect? - 05-24-2008, 08:43 AM

I stumbled across the work of Cyn D Valentine on SmugMug, and I love her cowboy and horse images. They are heavily processed, and some may not like it. But I love it. The look she gets reminds me of the painting of Kenneth Wyatt, a western artist from my hometown of Tulia.

Anyway, can anybody tell me how to get this kind of effect in PS? Here's a shot of Cyn D's:

Here's one of Kenneth's paintings.

Any help for this PS rookie would be appreciated.

I'm sure it's some kind of Photoshop action. Just do a goggle for Photoshop actions and look for the one that you like. There are tons of sights out there with free actions.

My Aunt works at Kenneth Wyatt's gallery in Tulia. I have some of his stuff hanging in my house. Love him.
