CS3 install round 4

Ok so for some time now ( maybe a couple fo months) my CS3 bridge had just randomly shut down. I have the CS3 design Suite and it's worked fine since I got it installed on this laptop in October.

Well it's been getting more and more frequent and usually a restart of the laptop cures it.

Well last night - now that I have over 2k photos from Alaska that I just can't wait to get to play with - Bridge won't even open!!!!!

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it a couple of times today (and I'm sure yall know that takes forever). I am uninstalling it again this last time and running the CS3 cleaner on the system before I try the install again...

It's just very agravating to not know what was causing it to randomly close before and now not get it to work at all...

mine works fine - just a rave ...
you might have some other software that causes it to crash.

Dumb question, do you have all your updates? Also is it just/mostly Bridge?

Another question: if you have any version of Windoze, and did MS update, did you also run a "sfc /scannow" to let Windoze File Checker restore missing files?

The CS3 cleaner is a utility you can get off of Adobe site that TOTALLY cleans out all registry files. They had to put it out there after the beta testing.. they found it don't fully un-install.

But for whatever reason... after I uninstalled it the 4th time and then ran the cleaner and installed it.. it's back up and running.

And yes it was only bridge. And it would just give me a box that said "Bridge has stopped working" and i'd click ok and it'd close.

Oh well... crosses fingers it'll work more stable this time.
