Adobe Bridge - 06-13-2008, 03:49 PM

Okay, so this may seem really silly...but does Adobe Bridge come with CS3?? I was under the impression that if I installed CS3, I would get bridge as well. Do I need to purchase Bridge as a separate software?

Bridge should be part of CS3 - it was with mine. It was installed the same time that I installed CS3 (installed at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS3 - pc system, not Mac).

hm....I thought so, but I got a HUGE error the other day when I tried to use it to download my photos from my SD card. Do I need to make changes to the preferences or something?

Marleny, I do not use bridge for the download - I just copy the files off the card (via card reader) to a working directory (on the hard drive - it is faster accessing the files via bridge once they are on the hard drive). Once on the hard drive, I then open bridge and go through the shots. I did not have to set any preferences.

Got it to work - 06-13-2008, 10:12 PM

I got it to work...for some reason, it would crash before it even launched the app...so I did a search, and it turns out that if you press CTRL, ALT and SHIFT together as you select and the app launches, it gives you a pop up window with the option to revert back to the Original workspace, tried that and it worked. Now I just need to learn to use CS3 Bridge.

Good to hear you are up and running. I had forgotten about the preference/options resetting.
