mac/ cs3 issue please help

I just switched over to Mac and uploaded my cs3. I downloaded some raw files off of a couple of cards into Iphoto, but it wont let me open them out of Iphoto into bridge. Everytime I go to open them in Bridge it opens Iphoto instead. I can open them in photoshop from Iphoto but it converts them to jpegs before opening as well as whyen you burn them to a dvd it changes them to jpegs. What can I do to recover my raw originals?

Choose one of the photographs by highlighting it. Pull down the File menu, and go to "get Info". It will have a section that says "Open with", and a box with an application listed. Right now it says probably says iPhoto. Change it to Bridge or PS3. Then, below it says "use this application to open all documents like this" and a button that says "change all". If you push that, anything that has the same suffix behind it (dng, jpeg, tiff) will open with that application you chose.
