I only have GIMP.

Thanks in advance
I am going to be buying Bibble Pro This weekend to process my RAW images.

even Picasa (free) does RAW. It doesn't do a LOT, but at the least you can view/sort/cull quickly before converting.

I have downloaded the trial Bibble Pro yesterday. Have been considering it instead of moving up from CS2. So far, it seems intuitive or easy. My only experience has been with DPP, and it IS slow and basic. BP seems to have more bells and whistles that I probably won't get to use during the trial period. At $129, the decision will be hard to make when DPP does OK and is free and keeps getting updated almost every year. But then, BP appears to be akin to having a hot rod and never flooring it more often than on a Saturday night ride through town.

While it is VERY powerful, I rarely use all of the features. I still do retouching in CS3, as a photo manipulation suite is far from the purpose of Bibble Pro. It processes RAW, and it does so quickly, and very well.

Use DPP to adjust WB and exposure of your raw files. Then write tiffs and do the rest of your edits in GIMP/CSx/PSEx/etc.

I use CS3, but Russell was showing me around Lightroom the other day and it looks awesome. It has all my favorite parts of Bridge, Camera RAW and CS3 and lots of other cool tools that the others don't have - all in one program. I'm getting that SOON.
