work flow help - 07-14-2008, 12:30 PM

hello all im so confused about work flow
so i have try to read on forum but im not geting the answers.
i have nikon d100 and d70
i did try raw,but because took longer to transfer from camera to pc on raw,(make some small changes in raw)then i did pshop retouching,(photoshop 6)then at the end i have to do one by one incresing the file size to 300 dpi,and at last i get a JPEG file so i have to do "save as" and choice 12(maximum)
so last time i just used JPEG fine,i saved the raw time ,but at end i still have to do all the things i had to do in photoshop
so im wonder how and what program to use for all this work flow to make it faster.
here is what i want to do.
and please explain me like if im 5 years old boy.
let say i take 100 pictures today.
then i want to do some croping and small retouching, and up load them to a web laboratory

thanks and i hope u guys understand what im talking about, becaue im so
confuse about digital work
btw i dont have alot money to spend in expencive software
roy
