Question Help with Font Size problem in PS actions - 07-23-2008, 03:53 PM

I recent thread about automating signatures prompted me to bring this up:

I have an action that first resizes the image and then writes some text on it. However, I've noticed that the size of the original image (before it's resized) affects the size of the text. What's up with this?!

You would think that regardless of the original size, if the resized image dimensions are constant when the text is applied in the action, the text size should shouldn't change.

Below is an example to show what I mean. The same action was applied to both images. It's probably something really simple I'm overlooking. But I can't figure it out.

Has anyone else experienced this? What am I doing wrong?

I really appreciate any help with this.

Nevermind. I figured it out.

Google and deductive reasoning go a long way.

The answer is I'm an idiot.

It was a points to pixels conversion problem. For me the solution was to switch the default font unit to pixels.
