It doesn't process raw files. Before it is loaded into Elements it goes through Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) which does the raw processing, then you can import into Elements. For raw processing I HIGHLY recommend Lightroom.

You can manage raw with Adobe Elements 6. I use it regularly, but since I have not used the RAW software that came with my camera, I have no way to give you a comparison. I like using it, but like I said, since I don't know better, I could be horribly inefficient. Only negative is that on my desktop I can't view CR2 (RAW) files in Organizer, and have to open it with Editer to see the files. On my laptop I can see the CR2 (RAW) files. I am still trying to figure out why this is. Hope that helps
