LR 2.0 - second monitor problem - 08-07-2008, 07:10 PM

On my home desktop computer setup I am using more than two monitors. When I click on the Second Monitor button, LR opens the other window on a monitor I do not want to use. But I do not know how switch monitors.

Can you help?

Not sure but I think it will be a setting in the windows properties for displays.

When I've used two monitors before on one computer, the desktop expanded across both seamlessly. You should be able to launch LR and drag it to the screen you want to use. You may have to drop from full screen mode to window mode before you can move it. Note: I'm not currently using LR 2.0 or two monitors.

If you are unable to move it to the monitor you want it on you may have to swap your monitor connections although you should be able to designate which monitor is 1 and which is 2 in your display properties.

Ken's comments are right on. Currently use 2 monitors and must minimize to window mode drag over to 2nd monitor and then maximize window.

When I click on the Second Monitor button, it opens in Full Screen mode on my third monitor. To fix this I press Shift+F11 to bring it out of Full Screen mode. At this point I am able to move the window over to the monitor of choice and manually resize it. But the moment I try to go back to Full Screen mode, the window opens back up on the original monitor.

I use the 'F' key to change between screen views. Try that to take it out of full screen, then move it to the monitor you want it on. Then close the program and relaunch it to set windows registry settings as to where the program belongs when it open, then try maximizing it again using the 'F' key or whatever hot key they may have changed 'windows', 'screen mode', 'next screen mode' to.

Running out of ideas. I don't know if the extra monitor support they added was dual monitor or multi monitor. That might also make a difference.
