barrel distortion fix - 08-18-2008, 10:16 AM

I bought a 16mm fisheye the other day. On my digital camera, with a 1.5 crop, it's not a fisheye, but there is curvature of the lines in a photograph taken. I have read of a couple different software programs that will fix this, but I'm wondering if, instead of paying for more software, someone knows of a fix in Photoshop CS3 or Lightroom, which I already own.

In CS3 Filter>Distort>Lens Correction. You can remove barrel distortion or pin cushion with the first slider.

Thanks Merrick. I knew there was something, I thought I'd seen it before, but I guess when I looked through the filters I missed seeing it. That's a cool tool that I've never played with before, but the transform part of it is almost like a tilt and shift lens. thanks again.
