15 seconds of fame? - 09-13-2008, 07:06 PM

Someone from Live Labs caught note of one of my synths and asked if they could study them...it could be a good example ...or it could be a bad one...

A reporter from the Frisco Enterprise came out for an interview while I was shooting a project at Central Park here in Frisco. After babbling my way thru the interview...well, who knows? I just might make the paper next Friday...

Although these are not so synthy, here's some more examples...

Engine 19 near the bottom of this page is the best one yet...99% synthy!

Now back to reality...and my post production work.

thanks, for the information. When I'll get a change to try it out, who knows, the good thing maybe all the kinks will be worked out by the time I'm ready.

Ahh! I like!

Tom, thanks for reminding me about this thread. The news article did hit last Friday's paper, but the electronic version hit 3 days earlier. And, we started getting some hits from the article and the electronic version. No calls, just hits, which is fine. I really don't have time to answer questions about it to the general public (unless they have money of course). And the hit rate has returned to normal already... But I did not expect a tsunami anyway.

The Live Labs guys would like to know what pro's would like to see in the product. If you have some thoughts, go ahead and pass them along.

Peter,

Great 'article' about you and photosynth. Hope it will give you some business...

Too bad there is not a stand-alone version of photosynth. This could lead to some real good opportunities to develop custom photosynths for commercial businesses.

Thanks. Not expecting article=new business. The equation is much more like article=exposure+credibility. And keep in mind, this was a small article in a small media source in a great big noisy world out there. It is also pretty geeky stuff, too. The business equation is a far, far derivative of that function.

Well, you can embed a synth into another website (mine is an example), but the site is not fully stable yet nor can you remain assured you will be able to keep it there.

Also, that was on my (rather long) list of features that I shared with Live Labs already. Thanks for the wish list, and keep them coming.
