Hi Darrell

I haven't seen the book but I will make a suggestion to you. Kelby has a training site called kelbytraining.com. It costs about 20.00 a month or you can do a yearly subscription. I would suggest you do a month. (make sure you cancel before the second month or it will automatically bill you)

There are 4 really good tutorials on there Specifically for LR2. One is like a power overview which may be sufficient if you have been a LR1 user. The other 3 take you through just like a beginner. I did both and learned lot of new stuff.

In addition to the LR tutorials, there are tons of other great tutorials on there, especially related to PS. They have good presenters including Kelby. For the $20, you get unlimited access for the month. I think it is the best value I have found.

Hope that helps a bit.

David

p.s. I'm not affiliated with Kelby in any way other than he takes my money :)

The Martin Evening book is very good, though if you're looking for a tutorial/training type book it isn't that. It's a good read it/keep as reference book.

The Kelby book is not release yet. I have it on pre-order at Amazon. His books are usually good though. The Kelby Training suggestion sounds good.

I have read his first book on LR. Checked it out from the local library. I liked it but do not have anything to compare it against. Waiting for the LR2 to be released for purchase.

I second the recommendation for Martin's book. Outstanding.

I can read Kelby for about 5 minutes before his sense of humor makes me want to puke. Unbearable for me.
