HELP with dirty feet... - 08-23-2008, 09:23 PM

I have tried all the tricks I know...

Her feet were dirty at this point and we weren't near a bathroom for her to wash them off. I love the potential of this photo, but I can't seem to get her feet looking decent. When I try to clone out or use the healing brush it ends up making her feet look deformed. HELP!!!

Heres my best shot. Used the clone tool on Lighten and set the Opacity to 10% and repeatedly clicked on the dirty areas.

I have done this a few times as well, I usually use a combination of the clone tool and the dodge tool together.

I forgot that Canon now has that "clean feet" feature.

But even with a Nikon, there is a simple, one-step fix.

Thank you folks - that's all for me - be sure to tip your waitresses...

Seriously though - you have the right idea with the clone and healing tools. Just have to get in there and get your hands dirty...oh, sorry...

(Ps: just so everyone is aware, LaShawn and I sort of know each other so we're having fun...)

Take some baby wipes with you on any barefoot shoots in the future. Just don't try to use them now on your computer screen.

BABY WIPES.....I am having a Homer moment. I had baby wipes in my bag and didn't even think of it. In my defense this was a last minute add on to the shoot....the mom was rushing us.

But still DOH!

:-)

Rushing you or not, if you pointed out how dirty her daughter's feet were she'd probably have wiped them herself.

What I meant was we were so rushed I did not notice.

That is why I am still a beginner :-)
