Lightroom 2 Slideshow - 09-05-2008, 10:00 AM

I am in need of some help on the slideshow module in lightroom 2. is there a way to export the slideshow as designed in LR? i went thru all the trouble of setting up this fantastic slideshow with transition, music and now i cannot export it. i know you can export to a pdf or jpg but it does not carry over all the goodies (no music, transitions, etc) that you just spent hours figuring out how to do! why would adobe go to all the trouble to set u such a great module and then you can only use it in LR?? i am perplexed!!!

I looked through my LR2 book from martin evening and the only options I could find are the PDF and JPG exports as you already know.

The only note he had was that it takes the latest version of PDF Reader to play the slide transition dissolves but they will be at a fixed speed. It is not mentioned anywhere about the music not being exported with the slideshow, but I created a quick show and exported it to PDF and it did not play the music either.

I don't understand this design either.

I have been using ProShow Producer for my slideshows so it looks like LR won't replace that.

Good Luck, hope someone else can help more.

I bought the "Slideshow Pro for LR" plug-in for $25 to handle s/s because I don't care much for LR's built-in s/s generator. I'm sure there's a place for it, but it isn't for me.

When you export a slideshow from lightroom it usually saves itself into a folder you picked with all the files/folders, are you setting that up properly in a good location? When it makes that slideshow you then open the folder and click on the main index.html or whatever .htm or .html file it produces.

I love that slideshow pro plugin, are you tired of the airtight galleries? I still think those are awesome.

This is in the web gallery module, not the slideshow module. The slideshow module handles it through PDF or JPEG only.

I am not familiar with Slideshow Pro so is it a web module plugin or a slideshow module plugin?

i thought it clearly stated in the docs that music was not exported with slideshow. of course I have read a lot of reviews and how-tos and could have got it there. for fancy slideshows i use pro show gold. but i don tdo it much
