OK--this has happened to me for a long time, and I'm still not sure why.

Let's say I take 100 shots during the same session, all jpegs. In Bridge CS3, you can open jpegs as a camera raw (one way is to right click and choose "open in camera raw..."). However, sometimes SOME jpegs from the very same session will not show this option, and there's no way I can open them in ACR.

Anyone else ever have this happen? Any idea why?

Thanks,

Tom

I have the same question. I've even tried 1)new jpeg, 2)save copy elsewhere, 3)open new in ACR and edit, 4)save as tif, 5)close all programs, 6)attempt open new in ACR again, CS3 just opens, 7)close all programs, 8)attempt open copy in elsewhere in ACR, CS3 just opens.

Not logical.

Yeah--I don't get it. Some open fine, some not at all in ACR.

I googled, but can't find any ideas.

Finally found a workaround, but it's cumbersome.

From within Photoshop, go to File>Open, select your image, select the format Camera RAW from the pop-up near the bottom left of the window, and let her rip.
