Just thought I'd pass this on to you guys...... especially you macro shooters. In studio, we've been using Helicon focus software to shoot some macro stuff. It's pretty cool and does a good job at achieving greater DOF. It's way easier then compositing multiple layers and creating masks, which we were doing at first. So, think how HDR software, like photomatix, does for exposure, but this is for focusing to get greater DOF. This particular shot was taken just messing around, using a Hasselblad, 150mm with a 22mm extension tube and a P30+ digi back. 1/125 f/11 (I think, coulda been f/8.5) We shot this with only 3 focuses (we were shooting 7/8 on are actual products).
