Just my two cents - but I think you're being too critical. He's a handsome young fellow - nice pose - nice lighting - and his eyes and freckles look quite normal and natural.

Thanks Kevin. I need a headshot for acting. The agents are pretty critical. I'll probably need to crop the hair too since it was being blown by the wind. I won't be able to take another picture for a few days so I was hoping to figure this one out.

I tink he is so handome just as he is.. if the agents can't see that than they are blind!
I just dodge his eyes a bit under and brightened them a tiny bit, added soft layer and burnt edges also added a bit of saturation.

Remember Opie from the Andy Griffith show? He looks better than that and look where Opie is now.

Loana - Thanks so much, I really need to take a photoshop class. If I could just make the time! I never thought of dodge for that, that is how bad I am in photoshop. I tried the dodge myself and what a difference it makes. I saved your version for me. For a headshot it can't be soft. I love it!!!

Roy: LOL, he always had that Opey look about him. When he was little he was a true redhead, now he has more blonde.

I'll need to look into that also. I'm definitely a visual learner so the individual videos sound good.
Thanks

A quick edit of Hunter using a technique from the Photoshop World convention at the begining of the month. Tell me how you like it. It uses gausian blur and masks and high pass filters and a little dodging on the bags.

It's Ahh! Not Oh! lol

Glad to help. I like his step by step approach and admire all the first adopters that had to invent the wheels themselves in Photoshop. Glad I came along when I did and didn't have to bother.
