photomerge CS3 - 09-24-2008, 06:57 PM

ok just for the record I love this feature. I had to use it to make two images into one. I was shooting a wedding and the families together were wider than my 28mm lens would fit so I shoot a series and used photomerge for the first time and I love the results. However the image is not 75 inches wide :)

if anyone would like to see the final image let me know. I need to figure out how to fix the color now.

I would love to see it. I have done this a few times as well.

Be sure to shoot panoramas in portrait orientation so you have more height in the final image.

Mike,

I'd like to see it also. I haven't done it yet.

Nick, good point about the orientation. Counter intuitive. I think there is an article about shooting panoramas and the portrait orientation in the latest Outdoor Photographer magazine.

I love the Photomerge capabilities...
They appeared (or should I say, I first notice them) with Elements 5.
Been using it a lot lately since school started back up.
Would recommend minimal focal length of 20mm (physical lens length, not inclusive of 1.6 crop)...several of the panorama stitchers dont like a 18mm lens because of curvature.

Will post something from the "See You At The Pole" event at my kids' school this week.

Work computer:
Mac Pro with CS3
Personal computer:
Macbook Pro with CS3 Extended

At work, photomerge works well and blends the exposures across.
At home, photomerge lines the pics up well, but does not blend the exposures at all, and gives me horrid lines where the pics begin/end.

I havent been able to find the setting that is responsible for the difference. Any thoughts?
