Help with editing!!! - 10-15-2008, 01:52 AM

Hey all,
I'm out of town and need to touch up a picture I snapped today. I don't have a program on my macbook yet. I need it as a headshot so the eyes need to look good. I took it just before it was getting dark and I'm still not very good with my camera. I'm always open to suggestions. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance. I know so many of you are able to photoshop things s o quickly. I don't think I'll ever be able to.

I have no experience with this resource, but a quick google search for photo retouch gave many results.

The Eye's are out of focus slightly on the boy in blue, looks like your f-stop was at 1.8-2 and you focused on the tip of the nose.

I edited this one, let me know what you think and if you would like the full res version, where do you want me to send it?

I sharpened the eyes and face a little and boosted the contrast just a bit.

Soooo much better thank you! I hate not having an editing program on this computer. Not that I am great at it anyway. That is why I usually have to get a good picture when I take it:) The only touch ups I usually do is brighten/sharpen the eyes if needed to pop and touch up dark circles under the eye.
Thanks so much I will PM you.

Marleny,

Looks a little overprocessed.

Here is my go at it. I just adjusted levels, color balance, and brightness then added some contrast and sharpened.

I like the color better in yours, but like the eyes better in mine. I think the eyes in yours are just done a tad to much, but if I never knew that it had been sharpened I probably would not pick up on that. Good Job!

Hee! Thanks. I probably did overdo the sharpening a bit.
