Put on cd for a client?

does it vary by subject matter? like weddings, seniors, headshots...i would assume headshots would be in 4x5 format for 8x10s... weddings.. 4x6?

Also curious - for those of you that do sell cds...what dimensions to you generally save your high res photos in? and what about low res? im sure there's a wide range of answers...

or if theres been a thread on this...could someone just link it for me? i wasnt sure how to go about searching for it.

What ever the photo editor or art director asks for.

To offer an answer that I believe you were really asking for, on the rare occasion I sell a cd, I save everything to a 4x6 format at 300 dpi. That's what people are used to who made prints from film and are therefore used to cropping accordingly.

So if you save all of them to 4x6, they can enlarge them to say 8x10 and still be sharp and clear? I've been cropping and saving mine to 8x10 at 300 dpi so they can be sure and print up to that size. Am I doing it wrong?
