Your opinions of my editing work - 11-01-2008, 06:08 AM

Some of you may have seen this photo before in another recent thread of my mine here. I liked the photo except for the boring plain sky so I merged a different sky shot into it and cleaned up a few other areas. I'm thinking of having this printed and wanted to know if you see anything on my editing job that needs to be fixed before printing.

Like I said, I replaced the sky part of the shot. I cloned out a sign on the side of the building. Adjusted the color curves to bring out the color a little more and recropped and resized it for a 16 x 20 print. So what do you think? Is it good enough for print & hanging on my wall?

Also, what paper finish would you have this made with? I really like the luster finish that I have been printing portraits with lately, but not sure with this landscape.

I love the picture generally but it seems to be tilted a bit to the left. Keep up the good work.

I like the composition and the colors. I think the bridge has an arc to the road surface and that causes it appear unstraight. If you compensate for that then the river will be out of level. I would leave it the way it is now.

Thanks guys,

I hadn't even noticed the slight tilt. Using the waterfall as a level guide I went back & adjusted it slightly. According to Lightroom's straighten tool it was off 1.5 degree. Good eye David.

No problem Dan. So, do we get to see the adjusted image?

Sure David. Here is the updated version. Any opinion on whether I should print this on luster or not?

I think luster would work just fine for it. That is what I would use if I were printing it.

Very nice work.
