anyone else find it annoying the way cs4 handles files.
when you open an image in cs4 it automatically opens full screen(window) in the program, without the option to resize the window area like cs3, and if you are working with multiple images they do not float like the previous versions, you have to right click on the tab and open in new window, then if you open another image it creates the tab again, very annoying when trying to place your logo on your images or trying to do overlays.

can't find anywhere in the program to change this.

What I find annoying is the inability to specify on which monitor new images/windows open. I had to do major rearrangements to be comfortable with the images opening on the primary monitor, and palettes on the secondary. Oh well, the price you pay for progress, I guess; it _is_ faster than CS3 :-)

Edit -> Preferences -> Interface, uncheck "Open Documents as Tabs". Unfortunately if you do this, maximizing a 'floating' window behaves differently than it used to - instead of maximizing the window within the client area, it maximizes it full screen (covering the menu bar and too palettes). I haven't yet decided which of these new "features" is more annoying.

IMHO Adobe dropped the ball on this one. Just because tabbed windows are popular for web browsing doesn't mean they make sense for Photoshop.
