I use Photoshop CS3.

Just open one main photo in cs3, then open another and use the "move tool" to place on top. Go to edit, "free Transformation", resize and repeat the process. There is no simple instructions....
Check my blog on previous post and I will help you as best I can!!

I guess that is one way to do it. I guess i should have clarified. On the collage, i wanted to have white or black background that is seen on the outside of the photo. Does that make any sense? i want there to be 'borders' seen..

I sent you a pm but here are the basics. Open the background. Open another layer and paint it black. Cut out the openings you want for your "mat". I personally use the marquee tool and "cut" the openings out. Then you open your photos and slide them in between the two layers. I don't know your level of PS, so like I said in the pm, feel free to call or email me if you have questions. Be glad to help.

Open a new document the size your are trying to print or desire. Fill it with black or white. Open your pictures and resize them accordingly now with the move tool put them in the black or white document you had made a few seconds before, use the Free Transform tool to move each image on the canvas and that will do it. You can get more creative by using the layer styles, just right click on the desire layer and open the layer style window and scroll thru the options and have fun. You can always google for photoshop tutorials, those will help you get started with the program.

Luis...I like your way too, the reason I gave her this way is she saw my cheer collage on another thread. I cheated and didn't resize each of the photos. Basically had the background with the "mat" as layer and then put the photos in between those two as layers. Then you can interchange the photos (I just erase the parts that show) and put all your text or texture or whatever you want on your "mat" and can use the "mat" for other photos. Don't know if that makes any sense!!! Maybe I'm doing it the hard way???

Christie, you must have missed the text at the bottom of the pricing page for those actions. It says not for resale. It can only be used for web display as a flattened image.

That's too bad. Something like that would come in really handy and might be worth spending the $$ to save the time creating them yourself.

I'm old, remember? I forgot already.

What I meant was: I want to put 3 photos together in a triptych. I was able to get real close Friday night. However, the long skinny image is too small to work well at anything under about 3 feet long. Oh well. Maybe a diptych would work. I'll have to re-shoot the subject the next time I am there.
