Help! resizing to 24x36 - 11-21-2008, 10:13 PM

I have a client that we printed a canvas in a 20x30. THis is the measurement we both had measured. I don't know who mis measured but now she is saying it's 24x30. I need to upload the pic in a 24x36 size so my lab can cut it to a 24x30. But, it's going to be too fuzzy. Any suggestions or am I screwed? I need to make this client happy! HELP!!!

OnOne's Genuine Fractals software can up-rez the image and it will look great.

I am assuming you have you tried sizing it up in PhotoShop. If not, use the crop tool sized to the size you need and then apply unsharp mask to sharpen.

If you don't have Photoshop send it to me and I will size it up for you. PM me for my email address.

This is the reason that I don't crop in PhotoShop. I keep the file full size and the lab software resizes when I upload. I always have the full rez file to go back to if a larger size is needed.

I have the genuine Fractals If you want to send me the image I'll be more than glad to blow it up for you the only problem is the size of the image after using the plugin increases to about close to 200MB. If you have a FTP page that I can upload or maybe I can send it via regular mail in a CD. Let me know how you want to do it.

Would it still be that big if you saved it in JPG format?

It turns out to not be an up-rez issue. It's a canvas add problem (and Don is spot on, no surprise there, the original would have made this a non-issue). I did what I could do for her... it's on the way to a folder on a photo storage site as I type this.

I hope you don't mind but I wanted folks to see what you were up against (that it wasn't an up-rez issue). Just ask the mods to take the post down if you don't want it up. I'm going to be out all morning or I would do it.
