Need help with D300 and Bridge/Photoshop - 11-29-2008, 12:55 PM

I have been using a D200 for months, and can view/edit raw images with no problem.
I just got a D300 and when I view them in Bridge, the thumbnail is small, with a black line along the top and bottom of the small thumbnail. If I try to open in PS, it says it is not the right kind of document. Any ideas of what I need to do?
Thanks for any help!

Do you have the current Adobe Camera RAW updates installed?

What version of Photoshop? I believe you must have CS3 to open D300 files. The other option is to use the DNG converter to go from NEF -> DNG, then you can open the DNG in CS2 (or CS). Not as good as dealing with the original NEF, but short of upgrading to CS4, that's your option.
