Which Software to Buy? - 12-12-2008, 12:16 PM

I've searched and still am not clear on what I need. I currently use Bibble Pro to convert RAW files, but am wanting something like Photoshop that I can do more with. I understand that CS4 is now out, but when I search for it there are several different programs out there under CS4. Some say upgrades, but look to be the entire program. I am operating on a pc...so what program do I need to perform RAW conversions and editing? I have seen elements, but am looking for something that I can grow into.

I asked the same questions in this thread a few days ago...After considering all the good advice I ordered Elements 7 (with a $20.00 rebate)...It was delivered and installed yesterday and I've been playing with it since...Looks like a good choice and can be upgraded at any time...Ben

The upgrades are the entire program, but before they will install, proof of a qualifying earlier version must be found on your computer.

I do not think that you will disappointed with Photoshop Elements and you will have to spend plenty of time to grow into it all the way!
