This is loosely based on the "fake HDR" how-to (here). It may not be the best pic to use this process on, but I like how this turned out.

Trint, your processing did boost the color saturation and contrast up, but the halo at the sky-land interface is a bit distracting to me.

@Thi - Follow the link in my first line. Complete instructions in PS. I've got CS3 and everything was right where he said it would be.

Trint, I think that's great for doing it by hand in Photoshop. I use Photomatix to do real and fake HDR's. It will spoil you since it is so easy. It is very adjustable too, but I usually overdo it.

Here's an example of your photo processed in Photomatix with my usual heavy handedness. It can easily be toned down to be more realistic, but I like the oversaturation.
