not sure if this has been discussed but, i just figured out how to fix lightrooms auto tune feature.
for all you that have a camera with the capability to shoot in tiff, your settings will not change when you import your images into lr.
i thought about this after some recent edits, and had a chance to test it with a d700, and as i suspected LR did not auto wb/tune, when images were imported.
