Designing a Postcard with a Collage of Photos - 02-18-2009, 10:54 PM

Can anyone help me out with designing a template in photoshop for a postcard? I would like to do up a postcard for a client that has a collage of photos from their engagement session. However, I'm not very experienced with doing templates in photoshop. Ideally, I'd like to do up a resizable template that can be used for future photo projects as well. Any help would be great.

Amber - you might check with some of the print vendors (Marathon Press, WHCC, Overnight Prints, etc...) as they all have various templates for use on postcards.

Not sure if you can get directly to this link without logging in, but Millers does postcards like you are wanting - http://www.millerslab.com/info/produ...postcards.aspx

gregt1310: Thanks, I'll take a look at some of those companies that you listed off. Have you ordered anything through overnightprints? If you have, how was the quality?

epoh: I have an account through millers, however, all they have are the bleed area templates, not the actual photoshop design templates for postcards.

Thanks for the ideas.

I'm still looking for help from anyone who is good at designing templates in photoshop. Anyone out there?

Amber, I doubt anyone would do it for free. If you have an idea of what you want to do, you could ask for some help. Do you have ideas of what you are looking to do?

Are you wanting something automated? Like where you drag over 8 photos and they automatically go into various spots in the template? I don't know of any professional print labs that offer anything quite like that. But check out the photoshop exchange - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchang...c=16&loc=en_us You maybe be able to find something there.

No, I was not wanting some one to do it for free. I was just looking for some one with design experience that could help me in making a template or walking me through making a template (nothing automated). Thanks for the suggestions.
