Action to put image number on photo

Does anyone know if there is a way to make an action that will put the image number in the bottom corner of the photo? I will be photographing a school musical, and want to display some images of the dress rehearsal for purchase at the event. Other than having them back printed and flipping them over, how could the parent's identify which images they want to order?

I will be putting the images from the actual event on my website for purchase afterwards, but last year I did have a good number of parents wanting to purchase the images that I had on display.

I can do it in Paint Shop Pro, so there's gotta be a way to do it in Photoshop.
