Anyone actually know what i7 is in here?

I am thinking of going i7 (and DDR3) over my Q6600 for my Photo-Editing PC. Anyone see any improvements on their computer by switching to i7?

I use lightroom and my computer sometimes Lags when I am processing lots of pictures.

Good grief. Anybody have a spare Secret Decoder Ring I can borrow? Do I have to learn a secret handshake first?

I know a guy who switched to an i7 processor and has been very very impressed with its speed compared to his old core 2 duo stuff. I don't know any specs but he always builds the best so that should be of some value haha.

Dont show Venchka the secret handshake...

One of the reasons I am asking is I want to upgrade now that my current Quad Core, Motherboard and RAM can still get me some cash over at the 'Bay.

Plus, microcenter has some Killer Deals on an i7 920 CPU, x58 Motherboard and DDR3 RAM!
