Help needed for photoshop transofrmation for child abuse organization! - 03-16-2009, 12:35 PM

One of my fellow co-workers knows that I do photography on the side. Therefore he assumes that I am a photoshop master. I am defitely not this. Anyways he asks me if I can help him design a new ribon for their non-profit organizaiton. This organization helps bring awareness of child abuse and eventually prevent it. I have attached the current ribbon. He wants to basically change the ribbon into a pair of scissors (same shape and color) and for it to say "Cut Child Abuse". If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Editting pictures is one thing. This is totally different. I want the organization to benefit due to their cause so I just thought I would see if any of you know how to do this. Thanks for all your help.

Thanks for the quick response. It looks good. Could you make the tips of the scissors still look like the ribbon and maybe make the finger holes more ribonny (if that is even a word). I think what he was going for is if the ribbon was cut at the loop and bent into a pair of scissors. Thanks though for the quick turn around. That was very fast!!!

I love how you kept the ribon in tact.

You guys are just amazing. Sent these to the guy who asked about him and he was just floored with how good they looked. I did make a mistake when I transferred the information onto here :( He wanted them to say Cut Out Child Abuse. He gave me some more insight to what they are goind to do with these. They are creating signs or little cutouts to have at barber shops. Therefore every time the barber shop has a haircut they will donate a $1 to the organization.

This is something that would be better done in Illustrator, not Photoshop. I think Jack's is really getting somewhere.

Thanks. I used Corel Draw for the ones I posted. Like Illustrator, it is a vector graphics program.

Disregard. Somehow I managed to post twice.
