sizing pictures and blur/focus

Hi,
im using DPP, to process my pictures, on a D50 and 100-400L lens,
in raw the pictures are very sharp on my macbook screen
after saving at 1200x800 they are still sharp, but going down to 800x600

see--(Petting zoo) in the wildlife section,
look at the gold chicken, for example,
in raw its very crisp and sharp,
on the website here when i look at it,
it seems out of focus or blurry,
to me,
,
any help would be appreciated,

What jpeg quality are you using? What are the settings when you convert?
